QUICKLY RESOLVING UNFORESEEN PROBLEMS
Concrete bursting employs the use of a hydraulic ram inserted into a pre drilled hole. When actuated, the material cracks, making it easily removed. The picture (Right) shows an operative tackling a hospital ward floor which was being
prepared for new drainage; however a problem with thickening was discovered during the process. Conventional processes would have been unacceptable due to vibration and noise. Bursting the floor using the above method solved the problem in 1/2 a day as opposed to an estimated 2 to 3 days using conventional methods.
