Delivering Diamond Drilling & Sawing Services across Scotland
We pride ourselves on our ability to bring new solutions to our client's problems. From our base in central Scotland, GT Diamond Drilling Services Ltd offer a complete nationwide concrete drilling and cutting service. Since 1996 we have built a reputation based on reliability, professionalism and business integrity.
Our relationship with our clients are a long term partnership. Working closely with customers enables us to understand their business needs. This flexible approach facilitates a rapid, responsive service which is essential in a highly competitive and time constrained construction industry.
Continual investment in the latest technology and training enables us to undertake projects which can range from a single opening to a complete programme of controlled demolition.
A core drill bit consists of a steel tube with diamond segments brazed or welded on the drilling end, and mounted on a rotating shaft. When in use the core bit is kept cool using water which also totally eliminates dust. Core drill machines can be operated in either vertical or horizontal direction. Core drilling techniques are used when precise, circular cuts are needed. Holes of almost any diameter are easily drilled to make openings for plumbing, electrical and HVAC installations. Core drilling is also commonly used to create for routing cables or placing anchoring bolts, installing load carrying devices or dowel bars, or for concrete sample analysis.
G.T. Diamond Drilling carries large diameter drill bits up to 800mm. Stitch Drilling is a method of drilling which can be used when the size or shape of the hole is abnormal. It is achieved by drilling a series of overlapping holes to create the required opening.
Diamond Sawing is an extremely quick and accurate way of making changes to existing concrete, stone or brick structures. Floor saws are used extensively on roads and motorways to cut asphalt and concrete cleanly and quickly to enable efficient repairs and alterations to be carried out to these surfaces. Track saws are used to cut door or windows openings through reinforced concrete, brick or granite walls without the need to stitch drill. The saw is secured to a track to enable it to remotely move backwards and forwards when in use.
The ring saw is a power cutter with truly unique characteristics and performance. Because its blade is driven from its periphery, not its centre, it can cut 10 inches deep (260 mm) with just a 14 inch blade! Its unique weight to power ratio and hydraulic power source makes it a hand-held cutter which is exceptionally efficient and easy to use. Wire Sawing is a specialised tool for cuts into unusual or particularly large surfaces. This simple and efficient process can remove large concrete constructions or create large holes into walls. There is virtually no limit to depth of cutting. These unique diamond tools enable to cut very complex structures which remarkable accuracy.
Controlled Demolition exactly describes how G.T. can use its extensive fleet of plant to carry out programs of demolition within confined or restricted spaces. It combines many of the main disciplines of drilling and sawing which allows accurate and controlled demolition of structures. This is in contrast to traditional processes which can't compete with the efficiency of Diamond Drilling & Sawing techniques. Concrete Bursting is achieved by drilling a series of holes into the structure for demolition. Once the holes have been completed the burster head is inserted. Pressure is applied from the hydraulic power pack via the hoses and the burster creates cracks in the concrete. The process is repeated the whole area will break up ready for removal.
Concrete Crushing as you would imagine is the reverse of bursting. The jaws of the crusher are installed over over the concrete to be removed. The jaws come together and the concrete is crushed. This process is repeated until the whole area is is broken into easily manageable debris. Any reinforcing is then cut away using an angle grinder or cutters. Larger plant like the Top Tec 1850E and Avant multi purpose vehicle can be used for a number of different purposes with an array of versatile attachments.
The condition of commercial floorspace will deteriorate over time. How fast this deterioration happens will largely depend on how well the surface has been prepared prior to the application of the covering. Dirt, oil, dust will reduce the life of the surfaces adhesion regardless of type. In industrial workspaces this can to lead to severe health & safety issues such as uneven surfaces causing slip or trip hazards. The headache for any business faced with a floor renovation project is the potential business disruption. Without suitable protection the dust from the grinder could not only make it impossible for staff to work in adjoining areas but cause damage to machinery or stock.
Floor Grinding removes the surface layer of concrete. Fast and producing low dust levels this Blastrac Grinder is perfect for the preparation of floor surfaces ahead of new paint or floor coverings. A hose connected to a 3 phase industrial vacuum cleaner instantaneously removes dust before it enters the environment. This is further backed up by a second operator is using another industrial vacuum to catch any dust disturbed by the grinder. The end result is a smooth, robust surface that will stand up to commercial wear and tear.
